CEVA - Electrolux: an increasingly broad and deep-rooted partnership

08 September 2008 - 16:58 CET

New contract consolidates a partnership begun in 1992

MILAN, Italy, 08 September 2008 - Electrolux Professional, a world leading supplier of total solutions of professional food-service and laundry equipment, has reconfirmed its faith in CEVA Logistics, one of the leading supply chain companies in the world, by renewing and broadening the terms of the current contract. The renewal will extend the transportation services to cover the whole of Italy in addition to the collection and direct delivery services to the end customer. The agreement also entails all other standard warehouse activities such as the reception of goods and checks on their integrity, product storage, the preparation of orders and the management of returns.

Besides this, the partnership involves the complete management of the production of the Pordenone warehouse for the outbound movement of around 450,000 pieces of inventory a year. To guarantee that products are suitably protected against damage, made-to-measure wooden packaging will be produced to attend a special request made by Electrolux.

The partnership between CEVA and Electrolux Professional began in 1992 with an agreement to use CEVA regional distribution platforms for the delivery of products to end customers in various areas of Italy. "We are delighted to renew our contract with Electrolux Professional, a development that once again highlights the level of satisfaction of our customers. Today we further strengthen this extremely valuable partnership, initiated over 15 years ago, thus consolidating CEVA's role as Electrolux's privileged logistics partner for warehouse management and distribution across Italy" - commented Carlo Rosa, General Manager of the CEVA South Europe Middle East and Africa (SEMEA) Consumer Division - "The know-how we have acquired over the years has made us an industry leader and enables us to provide a reliable and high quality service right the way across the supply chain".

Part of the Electrolux Group, a world leading international appliance company, Electrolux Professional boasts over 3500,000 employees, over 950 retailers, and more than 1000 certified service centers across the world with a turnover of 1768 million euro in 2007.
