CEVA Logistics Italia: agreement with Press-Di S.r.l. for Logistics management

5-year contract signed with Mondadori Group’s distribution company
CEVA Logistics Italia, the major Italian national logistics operator, signed an agreement with Press-Di S.r.l (an Arnoldo Mondadori Editore S.p.A. company created with the objective of further developing the presence of the Group in the press distribution market), in order to manage the publishing group's logistics. Based on the 5-year agreement, CEVA Italia will dedicate its own centre in Melzo to this activity.
"This agreement is highly strategic," said Gianfranco Sgro, President and Managing Director of CEVA Logistics Italia, South America and Spain. He went on to say that: "It allows our Group to consolidate our leadership in the Italian publishing sector, through the management of a rapidly developing channel like the newspaper kiosk channel. We are very proud of this contract with Mondadori Group. It is a fine addition to a series of other important partnerships with the leaders of the sector that CEVA has in its portfolio."
The partnership between CEVA and Press-Di establishes, in particular, the management of certain phases of the logistic cycle of the magazine sector through three different activities:
- distribution from the pick-up point indicated by the client to the Distributors in the regions Liguria, Piemonte, Valle d'Aosta, Lombardia and northern Emilia;
- returns processing from the local Distributors;
- management of back issues of magazines and inserts
