CEVA Logistics, a leading provider of global supply chain logistics services, today announced it has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certification for its information security management systems (ISMS) within North America.
ISO 27001:2005 is the most widely accepted international standard, specifying the requirements for a superior ISMS and is the foundation for third-party audit and certification. The supporting code of practice implements OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) and ITIL (Information Technology Information Library) principles governing security of information and network systems.
CEVA's investment in processes, controls and technology to meet the requirements of the ISO standard in North America signifies the importance that CEVA has placed on protecting their customer's confidential information and ensuring the reliability of their supply chain management systems.
"Customers entrust CEVA with data that is often the lifeline of their supply chains." said Jon Downs, Vice President of Technology Services at CEVA Logistics North America. "This certification confirms that our systems conform to the industry's highest standards for confidentiality, integrity and availability."
