CEVA Logistics launches solution for Danone Dairy in Turkey

CEVA will provide chilled warehousing facility and a bespoke milk collection service

Istanbul, Turkey, 20 May 2009 CEVA Logistics, one of the world's leading supply chain companies, today announced the signing of a €3 million agreement with Danone Tikveşli A.Ş.- the Danone dairy business in Turkey. Danone, one of the world's leading companies in the health food sector, has been operating in the Turkish dairy sector since 1998 with Danone Tikveşli A.Ş. The three year contract will see CEVA supply various services, including providing and running a chilled warehouse in Istanbul, as well as running Danone Tikveşli existing chilled warehouse in Ankara.

For already two years CEVA has been providing a special service for Danone Tikveşli collecting raw milk from 500 different farms on a daily basis and delivering it to the customer's dairy factories which are located in Gonen and Luleburgaz. CEVA is also undertaking the necessary quality control of the dairy product upon collection. The project is unique due to the fact that the responsibility of the process has been assigned to a single logistics provider.
