CEVA Logistics wins contract with Real Hypermarket in Turkey

Istanbul, Turkey - 23 September 2009 - CEVA Logistics, a leading global supply chain management company, today announced the signing of a contract in Turkey with Real Hypermarket, a member of Metro Group - one of the most important international retailing companies.

CEVA will take charge of Real Hypermarket's supply chain, managing and handling activities from its warehouse in Hadımköy. The logistics operator will dedicate almost 4,000 square meters to Real and will provide warehouse staff and equipment. CEVA will also manage the logistics operations for a new Real store that will be opened in Istanbul. Six trucks and two light trucks will ensure 24 hours deliveries to Real stores.

Real developed the successful concept of a self-service, retail hypermarket. The company operates 343 hypermarkets in Germany and 96 stores in Poland, Romania, Russia and Turkey. This summer, Real plans to enter the Ukrainian market. The selling space of Real stores ranges from 5,000 to 15,000 square meters, offering store assortments with up to 80,000 items.
