18 January 2007 - 08:00 CET
The Board of Directors of CEVA Logistics (formerly TNT Logistics) is pleased to announce the appointment of John Pattullo as Chief Executive Officer of the Company effective once his transition from DHL Exel has been completed, which we expect to be in the second half of 2007. Mr. Pattullo is currently the Chief Operating Officer of the EMEA division of DHL Exel Supply Chain. The Board of Directors of CEVA is also pleased to announce that Dave Kulik, the current Chief Executive Officer of the Company, will continue in his role as CEO of the Company until the appointment of Mr. Pattullo becomes effective and will subsequently assume the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of CEVA.
Gareth Turner, a Partner of Apollo Management based in London and a CEVA Board Member said, "We are delighted that John will be joining CEVA and also particularly pleased that we were able to retain Dave's close involvement in the business during the transition period and afterward as Vice Chairman of the Board. Dave has done an excellent job since assuming the CEO role in late 2003, leading the turnaround of the business and facilitating the transition of the Company to Apollo's ownership. I would like to personally thank him for his leadership in the transformation of the business and particularly over the last year during a complex acquisition process. CEVA is poised for a new period of exciting growth and the organization is now totally focused on delivering innovative supply chain customer solutions and achieving day-to-day operational excellence, which is a credit to Dave's vision. With the acquisition of CEVA by Apollo now complete, and the repositioning of CEVA as an independent company in its initial phase, we believe John's logistics experience, both at DHL Exel and Procter & Gamble makes him uniquely qualified to lead the Company forward. Upon the effectiveness of John's appointment to CEO, we will leverage Dave's significant experience and expertise through his continued involvement as Vice Chairman in a senior strategic role".
Dave Kulik commented "I am very excited by the prospect of John joining our organization at the very beginning of the next phase of our global development under the ownership of Apollo. There is an enhanced sense of purpose and urgency at CEVA and given John's long track record of success in senior leadership roles in the logistics industry, he will add tremendous value to our company. He is an outstanding leader and I am looking forward to working with him. In addition, with one of the best management teams in the logistics industry supporting John in his role, I am very optimistic about the future of CEVA".
