HiPP contract for TNT Network Logistics

04 February 2005 - 11:35 CET

HiPP, the world's largest processor of organic raw materials, has signed a three-year warehousing and distribution contract with TNT Network Logistics.

The German company's range of premium organic babyfoods and cereals will be stored at TNT Network Logistics' site at Wisbech and distributed to UK customers through the nationwide shared user network.

"We will store, order pick and distribute to a range of Regional Distribution Centres, retail outlets and health food shops," explains David Bermingham, Managing Director, TNT Network Logistics. "We have the largest high quality shared user distribution network in the country and already take a variety of food products and other goods into retail RDCs and high street stores.

HiPP places great emphasis on its care for the environment so the shared user concept fits in particularly well with its philosophy. Also, TNT Logistics UK won The Environment Award at the annual Motor Transport Supply Chain Awards in recognition of its efforts to reduce the impact of its activities on the environment.

Our extensive network of depots and vehicles, with stock control and fleet utilisation managed though state of the art IT systems, ensures we offer the most efficient, environmentally-friendly supply chain for HiPP goods," says Mr Bermingham.
