TNT Logistics secures lead in South American market through new Philips Brazil contract

TNT Logistics, a global leader in logistics solutions for the world's largest companies, has reinforced its dominant position in South America through announcing a new contract win with Philips, one of the world's top manufacturers of lamps, audio and video products. TNT Logistics will be working with the Consumer Electronics Division, providing logistics services for TVs, DVDs, audio products and monitors.This new contract was awarded to TNT Logistics after an extensive selection process involving major logistics operators across the world.

Through this contract TNT Logistics is now responsible for the operation of two Philips Distribution Centres in Brazil; a 14,000-sq. meter warehouse in the Manaus Industrial Pole and another in Campinas. TNT Logistics will be responsible for the Consumer Electronics product transport and distribution management throughout Brazil. The contract requires TNT Logistics to invest in infrastructure, movement of equipment, software and hardware.
This new contract demonstrates that TNT Logistics is strengthening its diversification process and sector specialisation in the electric, electronic and consumer goods sectors in Brazil.
